EXPO 2020 DUBAI_Netherland Pavilion
A temporary structure built for Expo 2020 Dubai.
Architecture meets 2000 tons of steel and 9320 plants in a biotope, at the heart of the pavilion. Untreated steel surface, delivered from the mill to the construction site and processed. Small and larger power produced by solar panels and photovoltaic cells. The execution of the structure took place in day and night shifts. Maximum precession in construction, perfect commitment by engineers and workers. Steel was used from bottom to roof top – and no concrete at all.
Surprising, challenging, memorable yet crazy.
Something more sustainable simply is not possible.
Temporary structures stand for the reuse of materials. We think about the materials available within the local market before they are purchased elsewhere. We help in reducing air pollution. In this current structure, nothing will remain for dumping, every single piece will have a new life somewhere. Rent material – is not just a catchphrase but a “must execute” for temporary structures.
Let’s go for recycling cycles.
Look for the final result at Expo 2020 Dubai happening October 2021.
